Happy Halloween

Gymnastics

Kate has been taking gymnastics for 2 months and loves it!

She's been working really hard on her back bends and has gotten pretty good at them.

She's also been working hard on her splits.

Gabe is always willing to practice them with her!

She loves her teacher Whitney

and had her first performance the other day.

She did a great job:)

Karate Tournament

For Gabe's karate tournament this year he participated in 3 events. Forms, weapons and sparring.

He took 1st place in sparring and did awesome. He was really aggressive. He also took 2nd in weapons-which was the BO staff.

He has also joined the "Split Club". Once you pass off your splits, you get a cool patch for your uniform and a gift certificate to Coldstone for a banana split!

This kid is so flexible.

He had belt promotion yesterday and moved from PURPLE belt up to BLUE.

When you run up front to receive your belt, you do your favorite kick combo.

Gardner Village

We went up to Gardner Village this year to do the witch scavenger hunt.





They have funny witches dressed up outside their shops.




Gabe loved this hula-hooping witch!

but everyone thought this witch in the outhouse was funny.

After you turn in your completed scavenger hunt, you are rewarded with a chocolate chip cookie...YUM!

2010 BYU Triple Crown

The Triple Crown is a mile long race for elementary age school kids on the BYU track. They race by grade and gender.

Gabe and Kate were so excited to do it this year. I didn't think they'd be able to make the mile, but they did awesome and are already talking about next year!

Gabe ran his mile in 9:04.

He was 22nd out of 52 and 4th from his school.

Kate ran her mile in 10:28.

She was 24th out of 52 and was also 4th from her school.

Back to School

First day of school

Gabe is in 2nd grade and has Mr. Roddam.

He loves going to school and homework isn't the battle it was last year.

Gabe's handwriting has gotten so much better this year! I can actually read what he writes :)

His favorite thing about school is:

being out in the portables/trailers this year.

Kate is in 1st grade and has Mrs. Spadafora.

She loves class and is excited to start on her homework right when she gets home! She is becoming a good reader and says her favorite thing about school is doing math.

Adam started preschool 2 days a week. His teacher's name is Mrs. Peay.

This sweet boy prays every night that he won't be nervous or scared at preschool :) He always has a fun time and is exicited to show me what he has made that day.

His favorite thing about preschool is:

singing songs.

This little monkey is so excited when everyone comes home.

She makes sure to give everyone a welcome home hug and kiss!
